questionnaires |
So you're here because you have received one or more questionnaires from schools that may be interested in you? Great! this is a wonderful opportunity for you to have the chance of participating as a student athlete at the next level. But before it gets to that point, lets explain a few things.
1. A questionnaire is not a scholarship offer (not even close). What a questionnaire can be looked at as a 'getting to know you better.' Let's just say we can consider this as a first time date! Now I know many of you are not dating but let just say this questionnaire is letting you know that this college is interested in learning more about you. 2. When you receive one of these questionnaires it is important to fill them out and return them, but do not stress. As you return that questionnaire take time to research the school. Whether it is location, cost, degrees offered, it is important that you research the school that is also researching you! 3. If you are interesting in a school that has not sent you a questionnaire you may go to their athletic webpage and fill one out too. However it does not guarantee that they will proceed to contact you because you filled one out. To further understand a college questionnaire listen to this former student athlete about the importance of questionnaires.

Another great question! Let's get down to business here. First let's say AP classes are essentially "wow" factors for college admissions. Do you need to take AP classes? No not at all, in fact it is not required to take AP classes at all. AP classes are good for the following: 1. Looks good on your application As previously stated, you can wow the college admissions by doing well in the classes. If you do well in an AP class essentially you are telling admissions of the school you will apply to your senior year, that you can handle adjusting to college classes. 2. You can obtain college credit Yes! that is no typo, you can actually earn college credit by taking AP classes. However! before you get excited you must know that in order to get possible AP credit you must sign up to take the AP exam for that particular class. This exam takes place at the end of the semester (or quarter) of the class, this exam does cost to take so keep that in mind as well. To learn more about the AP Courses that are offered check the button below and and check if your school has that particular class, good luck! |
